This may come as a shock to you, but owning a DSLR doesn’t automatically make you a photographer. Neither does knowing how to put one object into focus. Congratulations, you’ve learned how to use macro.

This is a reccurring topic with me, and every once in awhile, I feel the need to address it. I know, I sound kinda bitter. But I hate when people think they’re so cool because they have a shiny new DSLR and call themselves photographers because of it. This does not apply to everyone, of course — but they’re out there.

This is for Sangjin—only because I know he completely agrees.
